Half-drilled round beads (looses) of Japanese red coral (Aka coral) are quite scarce in the market, since only very few percentage of Japanese Aka coral material are suitable for making half-drilled round beads.

Usually, Japanese Aka and Momo corals have white spots at the center core of the branches, which are suitable for making center-drilled round beads, not half-drilled.

Only the branches with the white spots leaning to one side are suitable for making half-drilled round beads for rings, earrings, and pendants.

This is why the half-drilled red coral loose is scarce and the price is higher compare to other shapes.

Usually, Japanese Aka and Momo corals have white spots (cores) at the centers of the branches.

This is very usual for natural corals.

There is no problem for usage.
