With Japanese red coral, also known as aka coral, jewelry makers can create one-of-a-kind pieces featuring the natural red coral look in a 6.5mm size.

Even though the price of Japanese red coral soared by 10 times in past ten years, we keep the old price.

Half-drilled round beads (looses) of Japanese red coral (Aka coral) are quite scarce in the market, since only very few percentage of Japanese Aka coral material are suitable for making half-drilled round beads.

Usually, Japanese Aka and Momo corals have white spots at the center core of the branches, which are suitable for making center-drilled round beads, not half-drilled.

Only the branches with the white spots leaning to one side are suitable for making half-drilled round beads for rings, earrings, and pendants.

This is why the half-drilled red coral loose is scarce and the price is higher compare to other shapes.
